Mizpah is a sanctuary of healing and hope located in Grand Isle, Maine, that has been in existence since 1991 and has been widely open to the general public “FREE OF CHARGE”.  Mizpah, the Hebrew word meaning “a place to help one another,” was created by Dick Corbin, a cancer survivor.  It is a place that offers a sign of hope for those who experience the pain of grief.  It is a place to experience an emotional bond between people who are separated either physically or by death.  It is a special, peaceful place of comfort for people and loved ones to see & enjoy the beauty nature has to offer.

Camp Sunshine
Nestled alongside the shores of beautiful Sebago Lake, Camp Sunshine provides respite, support, joy and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families through various stages of a child’s illness. The year-round program is free of charge to all families, and includes 24-hour onsite medical and psychosocial support. Bereavement groups are also offered for families who have lost a child to an illness.

General Assistance
Each town in Maine offers general assistance, when no other resources are available, to help people in emergencies. Household size, income and expenses are considered. Prior approval is necessary. Contact your town office before incurring medical bills.
