Angel Snowfest
Angel Snowfest is a fundraiser in memory of Dick & Carol Derosier to benefit the Angel Flight Northeast and the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund. The event is held at Lakeview Restaurant and organized by Jenn Daigle and Becky Pelletier. The 11th Annual Angel Snowfest will be held on March 8th, 2025. In 2013, Dustin Marquis of Fort Kent decided to paint his Tigercat feller-buncher timber harvester breast cancer pink. The goal was to raise awareness about cancer and raise funds to help people diagnosed with cancer. He solicited the help of friends and local businesses to turn his idea into reality. Dustin got sponsors to contribute money for each hour the pink machine is in operation, with a life expectancy of 30,000 hours. Half the proceeds go to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund and half go the Maine Cancer Foundation.

Long lake ice fishing derby
Founded in 2006, the Annual Long Lake Ice Fishing Derby is usually held the last full weekend of January. Portions of the proceeds benefit the Edgar J Paradis Cancer Fund. Since 2006, they have donated $130,000 to the Cancer Fund. The 20th annual Long Lake Ice Fishing Derby will be held on January 25 & 26, 2025.
